"The Division of the Jakšić Brothers" is a Serbian folk epic poem about two brothers, Dmitar and Bogdan, dividing their inheritance. It follows their quarrel over a black horse and a grey falcon, and Dmitar's demand that his wife Anđelija poison Bogdan. It is worth hearing for its vivid dialogue, folk imagery, and the moral dilemma Anđelija faces.
